This year the theme of the International Festival of Family Media Creativity "Sunflower" is the Tales of the Peoples of Eurasia. The guests of the festival were actor, director, teacher Alexey Yasulovich, dean of the GITIS Scenography faculty Oksana Akelieva, silver medalist of the Paralympics in Sochi, goalkeeper of the Russian national sledge hockey team Vladimir Kamantsev.
Sunflower-2021 was held in an unusual format. Starting from June 1, festival participants could join online events. Children visited the exhibition "Cheburashka and everything, everything, everything", got acquainted with the history of the Russian boy Onfim, filmed videos about the fairy tales and sent fabulous video greetings from different countries. At the end of August, teachers, parents, public figures from different countries gathered for a council of storytellers, where they discussed various issues: what a hero should be; what fairy tales children need today; how a fairy tale helps in life.
September 11 - 13, young storytellers and their parents gathered at the Nechkino recreation resort (Udmurtia, Russia). The festival program was very eventful. Master classes and creative meetings, interviews and filming - there was no time to get bored at the festival.
The guests of the festival, together with the mentor of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly humanitarian project "EURASIA KIDS", learned about the secret of African drums. Vladimir Kamantsev spoke about how to become a real hero and what life trials need to be overcome. Natalia Dyakonova, head of the Rebus individualization and tutoring club, presented games based on Udmurt fairy tales developed by the club's pupils. Oksana Akelieva showed how one can create a home puppet theater. The guys tried to control a real theatrical puppet. Alexey Yasulovich told about the basics of filming. The ensemble "Melody of Heavenly Dew" introduced the old Udmurt musical instrument krez to the children. Svetlana Yusupova gave a fabulous aromatherapy lesson. The Sarapul Museum-Reserve introduced the children to the history of the fabulous Golden Sarapuli.
The festival brought together children from different regions of Russia and other countries of the world. One of its main tasks is to publish a book of fairy tales about happiness.
