Three representatives from China, who have been partners and academicians of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio for many years, took part in the commemorative action. In their video messages, they noted the importance of Soviet military assistance provided by the USSR during the years of China's war with the Japanese invaders.
“The people of China keep the memory of the Soviet military who fought alongside the Chinese people against Japanese militarism and German fascism in World War II and the Great Patriotic War. We will always remember them and light a candle in memory of all those who gave their lives in the name of the Great Victory,” - said Liu Yong, senior editor of the Chengdu TV channel in Sichuan province, director of the documentary “In Search of Sainov”, author of the books “Search - handful of black earth”, “60 years: Chinese history of one Russian”.
“We consider it our duty to take part in the Candle of Memory campaign. In China, we keep the memory of those who fought for us in World War II and the Great Patriotic War. As long as we remember the veterans, their deeds are alive. Everlasting memory!" - said E Yan, director of the international department of Heilongjiang Broadcasting, Harbin, in her video message.
Every year, Chinese films dedicated to Soviet-Chinese cooperation in the anti-Japanese war from 1937 to 1941 participate in the contest of the Sevastopol International Film Festival "WON TOGETHER", which has been held by the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio for 17 years.
“People all over the world, including the Chinese people, will never forget this great date. We will also forever remember the help and blood shed by Soviet soldiers in the anti-fascist war of the Chinese people. More than 50 monuments to Soviet soldiers for the liberation of China from the Japanese invaders during the Second World War were built in different cities of China. These monuments to Soviet soldiers are historical evidence of military friendship, and also serve as a solid foundation for the development of China -Russian cooperation,” - said Wu Jiang, director, producer, President of the Beijing Chuangshiji Classical Literature and Art Company, Secretary General of the Organizing Committee of the Summit of Cooperation between ASEAN Countries, Vice-President of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio, permanent member of the jury of the Vladimir Menshov International Film Festival "WON TOGETHER", annually held in Sevastopol by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly together with the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio.
