The Head of the Udmurt Republic (Russia) Alexander Brechalov presented the “Recognition” Award and a Certificate for the purchase of printing equipment for the children's inclusive media club to Olga Chirkova, Head of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Humanitarian project EURASIA KIDS, President of the Udmurt regional children's public organization “Centre for Social Production “Zhuraveinik”.
Olga Chirkova launched a newspaper at the “Adelie” Rehabilitation Centre. Among her projects are the International Festival of Children's and Youth Media “Sunflower”, “Special Beauty” - a project where women and children with disabilities participate, Social Accessibility Map - a help site for low-mobility people.
Olga Chirkova is the author of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly project on the creation of a journalism textbook “Journalism Lessons of for the Blind”. This year the project was supported by the Presidential Grants Foundation. Thanks to it, 1000 blind children in the Volga Federal District will have access to a unique textbook for acquiring professional skills in the field of journalism.
