Press Conference of the XVI Vladimir Menshov International Film Festival “Won Together” | October 25, 2022

On October 25, 2022 at 13:00 (Moscow time), the multimedia press center of the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency will host a press conference of the XVII Vladimir Menshov International Film Festival “Won Together”.

Speakers:

  • Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Film Festival Andrey Belyaninov;
  • President of the Film Festival, Honored Art Worker of Russia, film director Sergei Miroshnichenko;
  • General Producer of the Film Festival, President of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Valery Ruzin;
  • Rector of the Volgograd State University (VolGU) Alla Kalinina;
  • Chairman of the jury of the international competition, film director Yusup Razykov;
  • Sergei Lomakin, Chairman of the Jury for the Competition of Television Documentaries, Head of the Directorate for Regional Broadcasting and Special Projects of the Public Television of Russia;
  • Chairman of the OPRF Commission on the harmonization of interethnic and interreligious relations, member of the Presidential Council of the Russian Federation on interethnic relations, chief researcher of the N.N. Miklukho-Maclay Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Zorin.

The XVII International Film Festival "Won Together" in 2022 will be held in the hero city of Volgograd. The opening of the film festival will take place on November 19, on the day of the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the counter-offensive of the Soviet troops near Stalingrad. Closing of the festival and awarding the winners – on November 22.

Volgograd State University will become the main venue for film screenings and business events of the XVI Film Festival. The events of the film festival will be held at the main historical and cultural sites of Volgograd with the support of the Public Chamber of the Volgograd Region.

As of October 19, 2022, foreign directors from 18 countries, whose films were included in the competitions of the film festival, confirmed their arrival in Volgograd: Italy, Spain, France, Argentina, Greece, Finland, Israel, Iran, China, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan.

In 2022, the film festival is supported by the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, all events are held with the assistance of the Foundation.
