Bashkiria will Host the Eurasian Volunteers Forum

On May 20, Dmitry Trapeznikov, Secretary of the Representative Office the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan, took part in an online meeting of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov with volunteers.

Leaders of the volunteer movement of Bashkortostan, entrepreneurs, athletes, public figures and artists shared their experience of helping people during the pandemic.

In addition to regional participants, Artem Metelev, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Volunteer Centers, as well as volunteers from neighboring countries - Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, joined the meeting.

During the online meeting, Radiy Khabirov thanked the participants of the volunteer movement for their selfless work and offered to organize a large-scale Eurasian Forum of Volunteers, and invite delegations from Eurasian countries, so that they can not only exchange experience, but also communicate and sign cooperation agreements. The event will be organized by the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The date and venue of the forum will be determined additionally.

Recall that about 5,000 residents of the Republic of Bashkortostan became volunteers to help people in the conditions of the spread of a new coronavirus infection. Three regional headquarters work daily; they accept applications and appeals from residents of the Republic. In particular, the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan joined the volunteer project “Our Concern” of the United Russia party. Project’s activists help deliver food and medicine to elderly people, people with limited mobility who are under voluntary quarantine for coronavirus.
