“VICTORIOUS TOGETHER - for Peace and Creation”: Interview with Veterans (Bulgaria)

The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and the Foundation “Bulgaria Sustainable Development” publish interviews with war veterans as part of the Megaproject “VICTORIOUS TOGETHER - for Peace and Creation”.

The Foundation “Bulgaria Sustainable Development” recorded video messages from Bulgarian and Russian veterans - war veterans, home front workers, children of the Great Patriotic War and World War II.

In their addresses, veterans appeal to present and future generations for peace, for preserving historical memory, and for cooperation.

The chairmen of veterans’ and anti-fascist organizations also sent their appeals.

Krum Vasilev is 95 years old. Bulgarian anti-fascist, partisan, war participant, awarded the Medal “For Victory!” by Marshal Fyodor Tolbukhin for participation in the Great Patriotic War.

Associate Professor, Dr. Ivan Sechanov - Chairman of the Union of War Veterans in Bulgaria.

Simeon Ignatov - Chairman of the Bulgarian Anti-fascist Union.

Igor Nikolaevich Zavyalov - Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Russian compatriots in Bulgaria; a resident of besieged Leningrad.

Associate Professor, Dr. Sophie Pinkas is 96 years old. A participant in the final phase of World War II, a volunteer in the First Bulgarian Army, which fought as part of the Third Ukrainian Front.

Alla Nikolaevna Ilieva - 80 years old, a resident of besieged Leningrad.

Alina Mikhailovna Tosheva - 80 years old, a young prisoner of fascism (concentration camp in Lubeck).

Lidia Alexandrovna Osipova - 94 years old, a participant in the hostilities, the Battle of Moscow and the Eastern Front of the Second World War.

Dr. Jovko Vylchev (Yambol).
