The Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly took part in the events of the anniversary International IT Forum with the participation of the BRICS and SCO countries. As part of the International IT Forum with the participation of the BRICS and SCO countries, 3.6 thousand people from 47 countries and 61 regions of Russia took part in 50 events held in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is a long-term strategic partner of the IT Forum in Khanty-Mansiysk. Thus, at the current XV IT Forum, Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, took part in the Plenary discussion “Trust in the Digital World”. “Yugra is the capital of the IT industry of Russia, and the next most important task is to become the IT capital of Eurasia,” noted Andrey Belyaninov. He moderated the Panel discussion “Guidelines for cooperation between the BRICS, SCO, Africa and Latin America countries for the development of the digital economy. Digital diplomacy”.

The Panel session discussed issues of the use of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Director of the ANO Laboratory of Digital Transformation Pavel Basin said that at the IT forum in Ugra, representatives of the BRICS and SCO countries took the initiative to create uniform international standards and regulations for the exchange of confidential information. According to him, now there is no such unified protocol, which complicates the interaction of states, since each operates according to its own rules and requirements, including encryption and data protection. This task has not yet been solved at the interstate level, which complicates integration. “For example, you need to confirm various data at customs. Information must be transmitted in such a way that it is protected and reliable,” Basin added. Representatives of the IT industry of the regions of the Russian Federation, SCO and BRICS countries discussed the use of the latest technologies in the economy, social sphere and education, cybersecurity, import independence, artificial intelligence and the development of human resources.
