As part of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, on June 23-25, Yakutsk hosted the XXI Eurasian High Fashion Contest of the National Costume "Ethno-Erato - 2022", co-organized by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly for several years.
Fashion designers from Georgia, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Bashkortostan, Buryatia, Kalmykia, Tyva, Krasnodar, Stavropol Territories, Amur Region, Moscow and participants from 17 uluses of Yakutia took part in the contest.
The guests were warmly welcomed by the A.E. Kulakovsky House of Peoples’ Friendship. On June 24 the House hosted a Gala concert of the contest winners.
Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly presented special prizes and diplomas of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly to: the General Director of the Shelmel Zavgar Fashion Center (Mongolia) Oyungtsetseg Chimedtseren in the nomination “For the Preservation of National Traditions, Fashion and Style” and the General Director of the National Center for Folk Applied Arts and Crafts "Simekh" (Republic of Yakutia) Ignatieva Yana Viktorovna in the nomination "For Strengthening Cultural Cooperation between the Peoples of Eurasia".
Svetlana Smirnova was awarded the Jubilee badge "100 years of the Yakut ASSR".
Laureates of "Ethno-Erato - 2022" and members of the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly took part in the events of the Yakut folk holiday Ysyakh Tuymaada.
