XV International Festival of Children's and Youth Media “Sunflower” is dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the Great Victory

September 11 to 13, Izhevsk will host the XV International Festival of Children's and Youth Media “Sunflower”. The festival is supported by the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.

This year it is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic war. The main theme of the festival is “Stories of Great Victory live in Every Family”. Participants of the festival are schoolchildren, veterans, people who were children during the war years. Young journalists will learn about work of war correspondents, how essays became literary works and inspired people to combat and labor feats. Guests of the festival will hear military songs and discuss films about the war. Professional journalists will share their skills with the children.

This year the competition program consists of three categories: print, radio, and video. A video contest “I read Poems about War” will be held as part of the festival.
