The International Chinese-Russian Academy of Film and Television will be created in the city of Chongqing (PRC). This initiative of the Chongqing company "CHONGQING DUBAIL IMPORT&EXPORT CORPORATION (GROUP)" and the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly was consolidated on the sidelines of the XVIII International Film Festival "WON TOGETHER" by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belianinov and the General Director of the Chongqing Dubail Import&Export Corporation (GROUP) Mr. Wei Dong, having signed the Agreement and Memorandum of Cooperation.
General Producer of the “WON TOGETHER” film festival, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Valery Ruzin commented on the importance of future joint work:
“The Second World War is an unprecedented catastrophe in human history. China and Russia, as the main participants in the Asian and European theaters of war, at the cost of enormous sacrifices of their peoples, made a decisive contribution to the victory in World War II and saving humanity from destruction. This period of history is worth remembering forever. That’s why we decided to create a documentary project about these historical events,” - shared the General Producer of the “WON TOGETHER” film festival.
According to Valery Ruzin, today some countries indeed distort the history of the Second World War, denying the historical contribution of the Soviet Union to it. Such behavior, based on ideological prejudices, Cold War mentality and “realpolitik”, is unacceptable and inexcusable.
“The path to peace has been tortuous and difficult, and maintaining peace on Earth is no easy task. History is history, facts are facts, and no one can change them. The Chinese people, who have suffered enormous sacrifices, will unwaveringly defend history, which is written in blood and human lives,” - says Valery Davydovich and adds that a colossal amount of hard work lies ahead.
