The Speaker of the Federation Council of the federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko, in her greeting to the participants of the General Eurasian Peoples' Assembly noted that the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly will be able to make a significant contribution to the preparation of the World Conference on Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue, which is planned to be held on May 16-18, 2022 in St. Petersburg:
“Issues of Eurasian integration, including the involvement of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the orbit of business cooperation in the Eurasian direction, have always been a priority for the Federation Council of the federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Senators of the Russian Federation actively interact with parliamentarians of the Eurasian States at the sites of international inter-parliamentary organizations, as well as within the events held through bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation with the parliaments (chambers of parliaments) of these states.
I am sure that the General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly will be held in a creative and friendly atmosphere, and its decisions will become the basis for the further implementation of the integration potential of our countries.
I wish you fruitful work and new ideas for the benefit of the peoples of Eurasia."
