TASS: The Urals will host an International IT Forum in a Mixed Format

MOSCOW, May 8. /TASS/. The XII International IT Forum with the participation of the BRICS and SCO countries will be held in a mixed format on June 15 - 18 in Khanty-Mansiysk, reported the Department of Information Technologies and Digital Development of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra to TASS.

"The platform of the IT Forum-2021 will unite more than 40 events in a hybrid format with limited offline participation and a wide online dialogue of Russian and foreign experts. For the first time, the Forum will be held for four days - from June 15 to 18," - the message says.

Special attention the Forum will pay to the topics of artificial intelligence, digital transformation in Russia and the world, life in the post-Covid space.

In particular, sessions and round tables will be held by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Sports of Russia, the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District, the Moscow government and the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

During the Forum, IT ministers of the regions will gather in Ugra to discuss the "digital maturity of regional authorities" and IT leaders of universities to participate in a discussion organized by a team of experts from the Institute for Digital Development of Science and Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The IV International Conference on Information Security "Infoforum - Ugra" will be one of the key events. The experts will discuss artificial intelligence as the development of analytical technologies and a means of countering cybercrimes, issues of "sovereign Internet", problems of personal data protection. The conference will host the Russia-China Digital Forum, which is held by the Cloud Security Alliance and the PRC Cybersecurity Association, scientific centres and the largest IT companies in China.

The III International Conference "Information and Communication in the Digital Age: Explicit and Implicit Impacts" will gather about 100 experts from 40 countries within the UNESCO intergovernmental program. The Department added that also a meeting of the international discussion club of the Eurasian Women's Association "Transformation of women's employment during a pandemic, in the post-Covid period" will be held with the support of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum under the Federation Council.
