Kazakhstan hosted the International Roundtable on the presentation of the print publication "Art and culture representatives of Kazakhstan ethnic groups: an encyclopaedia of personalities". First Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly - Head of the General Secretariat Svetlana Smirnova took part in the event as a guest of honour. The event was also attended by other guests of honour from the Far and Near Abroad: Austria, Russia, the Republics of the Russian Federation - members of the Eurasian Peoples 'Assembly, members of the Council of the Assembly of peoples of Russia, scientists. T.K. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts organized the roundtable meeting.
The encyclopaedia of personalities was published with the support of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Institute of Applied Ethno political Research. The unique edition introduces readers to representatives of various ethnic groups, their contribution to the formation and development of an independent state. The book is a continuation of a series of various encyclopaedias, works dedicated to outstanding figures of Kazakhstan, as well as the conceptual framework of the Rukhani Zhagyru Program.
The uniqueness of the encyclopaedia lies in the fact that it includes valuable biographical information of representatives of three generations of ethnic groups that are known both in Kazakhstan and far beyond its borders. Documentary data was extracted from archives, interviews, media resources in accordance with the principle of "unity in diversity" and in the context of the modernization processes of the XXI century.
