At the St. Petersburg Cultural Forum, Prominent Political and Public Figures declared Their Readiness to Support the Events of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly

The Ninth International Cultural Forum was held in St. Petersburg on November 16 -18, 2023. At the invitation of the Russian Historical Society, the Head of the Department of Sustainable Development of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Dr. Yaser Alaham, took part in the forum. In his speech at the panel discussion, he spoke about the activities of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and its role in developing friendly relations with all countries, in particular in the Arab world: “The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly is doing a lot of work to strengthen cooperation between the countries of the Eurasian space, using the tools of public diplomacy "

Dr. Yaser Alaham noted that in the near future the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly plans to open a number of representative offices in the countries of the Arab world. Two representative offices: in Egypt and Jordan, are already carrying out systematic and fruitful work in various areas.

The Head of the Department of Sustainable Development of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly also held personal meetings with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov, the Minister of Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan Altynbek Maksutov, the Minister of Culture of Syria Dr. Lubanah Mshaweh, the Minister of Culture of Lebanon Mohammad Mortafa, the Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture of South Africa Zizi Kodwa, Chairman of the Institute of Cultural Diplomacy in the UAE Dr. Mohammed Kamil Al Muaini, Russian actor, film and television producer, film director Fyodor Bondarchuk and Russian statesman and public figure Mikhail Shvydkiy. During personal meetings, issues of joint cooperation were discussed. Agreements were also reached on participation in the events of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.

The forum was visited by participants from more than 70 countries, including the CIS, SCO, BRICS and other friendly states, to be inspired to create innovative projects and transform the world through the power of culture and art. In a new, rapidly changing world, this event has become a platform for discussing the most pressing ideological issues, as well as a place where new ideas and projects are born.

Participants of the ninth St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum - Forum of United Cultures - heads and members of foreign official delegations, representatives of international organizations, and the professional community in the field of culture - signed a Declaration. The document is aimed at creating a common international infrastructure necessary to support the national sectors of culture and art of the Forum participating countries, as well as ensuring the development of their multifaceted cultural cooperation.
