On September 30, the meeting of the House of Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan made a decision to create a Committee for business, scientific and cultural cooperation with Italy. The committee, which will be chaired by Ruslan Kinzikeev, a representative of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce in the Republic of Bashkortostan, will function as part of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia).
Prime Minister of the Government, Head of the Assembly Representation in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia) Andrei Nazarov greeted the audience. He noted that Italy is traditionally an important partner for Bashkortostan and economic ties between the republics have enormous development potential. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the creation of the committee, the idea of which arose in January this year at the meeting of the delegation of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the President of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce V. Trani, will give a new impetus for the further development of constructive Bashkir-Italian dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation in various spheres.
Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, greeted the meeting participants:
"We are convinced that the work of the committee will be systematic. The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly promises full support for all its projects."
“The main tasks of the committee will be the development of interregional cooperation, the strengthening of industrial, business, cultural and tourism ties, support of the institute of community, stimulation of the implementation of investment projects. The Committee will be supported by representatives of friendly non-profit organizations in Italy, entrepreneurs and public figures from Bologna, Bari, Ufa,” - said Ruslan Kinzikeev.
The meeting participants expressed mutual interest in working on joint business projects of entrepreneurs from both countries, outlining a number of new opportunities in agriculture, culture, industrial, trade and tourism sectors. At the same time, the need to develop non-standard approaches and reduce bureaucratic obstacles was emphasized.
An agreement was also reached on a further meeting of the meeting participants, including Italian partners, at the VI Yalta International Economic Forum.
