Representatives of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly took part in the II International Youth Forum of Memory

Today, Moscow hosted the II International Youth Forum in Memory “The Victory of the Peoples of the USSR over Nazism in the Great Patriotic War” held as part of the project “No Statute of Limitations”. Dialogue platform - Moscow State Linguistic University, which celebrates the 95th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of the Basic Organization for Languages and Culture of the CIS Member States.

The International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" was represented by: Valery Ruzin, Deputy Secretary General, President of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio, Candidate of Philosophy; Tatyana Poznyanskaya - Head of the Department for the Preservation of Historical Memory; Irina Polyakova - Head of the Department of Spiritual Culture; Lina Bogatyr is the Director of the “WON TOGETHER” International Film Festival.

Before the start of the forum, participants and guests laid flowers at the monument to the Militia Warrior of the 5th People's Militia Division (113th Infantry Red Banner Lower Dniester Division) in the park in front of the Moscow State Linguistic University building.

Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Valery Ruzin told participants about the large-scale activities of the organization to preserve historical memory. In particular, he presented the “Network of History” media platform as a tool for creating educational resources in the historical field. Valery Davydovich also dwelled in detail on such a major project as the Vladimir Menshov International Film Festival “WON TOGETHER”. The discussion was about documentary film as a tool for developing a civil-patriotic position and nurturing a culture of interethnic relations.

The Head of the Department for the Preservation of Historical Memory, Tatyana Poznyanskaya, addressed the forum participants with a greeting from the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly. She presented the university with a number of options for cooperation: participation of students in International public forums and festivals; invited to take part the meetings of the Eurasian Film Club at Moscow Turgenev Library-Reading Room, which hosts film evenings and screenings of documentaries - winners of the XVIII Vladimir Menshov International Film Festival “WON TOGETHER”. The expert suggested holding a Film Marathon of festival films at the Moscow State Linguistic University.

In turn, the Head of the Department of Spiritual Culture, Irina Polyakova, presented letters of gratitude from the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly to students and teachers of MSLU for their assistance in organizing the General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly on April 23, 2024. She also donated books on spiritual culture to the university.

As part of the II International Youth Forum of Memory, one of the documentaries - laureates of the XVIII Vladimir Menshov International Film Festival “WON TOGETHER” was shown. The film was presented to the participants of the dialogue platform by festival director Lina Bogatyr.

Forum participants heard reports from students and teachers on the contribution of peoples to the common Victory. MSLU students, including foreign ones, read poetry in the languages of the peoples of the USSR.
