Journalists and general public are invited

On December 5 - 6, 2020, the 6th session of the International Public Forum «Preserving the Memory of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War» will be held at the «House of Friendship of the Leningrad Region» in St. Petersburg and the «Road of Life» museum in Vsevolozhsk.

The organizers of the Forum are the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio, and the Digital History Research Foundation.

The goal of the Forum is to consolidate scientists who are engaged in various aspects of Hitler's policy of extermination and to make their scientific discoveries available to the general public.

Many facts about the Hitler’s crimes will be made public for the first time. The Forum speakers are well-known researchers Nikita Lomagin, Alexander Dyukov, Alexey Isaev, Alexander Zdanovich, Ksenia Sak, as well as the largest European expert on the problem - Professor of the University of Bern Christian Gerlach.

The Forum draws attention to the issues of preserving the historical memory of peoples and supports the movement against falsification of the results of the Second World War. Today, these issues are increasingly moving from the historical to the political.

Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov will open the Forum and address greetings to the participants. His video message to the public is published.

Historians, scientists, documentary filmmakers, public and political figures from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, USA, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Switzerland will discuss the main issues of the Forum:

• «Hitler’s Elites' Plan for the mass destruction of citizens of the Soviet Union»;

  • «Genocide of the Soviet people by Nazi Germany».

Unknown documents that show the intention of Hitler and his entourage to destroy a significant part of the population of the so-called «Eastern territories» for the purpose of resource extraction and further settlement of the lands of Eastern Europe by the Germans will be made public for the first time.

Speakers will present the projects the «Road of Life – Road of Military Glory» and «Memory», which consolidate the efforts of the international community in preserving the historical memory of the events of the Second World war and the Great Patriotic war.  The initiative of the «Institute of military heritage» (Lithuania) is aimed at creating a video register (chronicle) of Soviet military graves and memorial sites on the territory of the former Soviet republics and the European Union.

First held within as part of the XV International Film Festival «VICTORIOUS TOGETHER» in May 2019, the Forum was continued during the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Baku in October 2019, and in February 2020 it was held in Yalta, in the format of the International Scientific Conference «Yalta- 1945: Lessons of History», and on June 17, 2020 - online under the slogan «Be worthy of the memory of the fallen».

5th session of the forum «Protect the Truth about Victory!» took place at the Vorontsov Palace in Sevastopol on September 3 - 5, 2020. In the Year of Memory and Glory, the Forum managed to unite and to involve authoritative speakers and representatives of the international community from more than 20 countries in the preservation of historical memory on the Crimean Peninsula, one of the most important geopolitical spaces in the world.

The 6th session of the International Public Forum «Preserving the memory of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War» is devoted to the scientific reconstruction of the Hitler’s Elites' plan for the mass destruction of citizens of the Soviet Union.

Experts will also discuss measures needed to recognize memorials and monuments to the fighters against Nazism - the world's spiritual heritage of mankind.

As the outcome of two days work of the Forum, the final documents will be adopted. In addition, the Forum will announce the creation of the International Public Committee «VICTORIOUS TOGETHER». Its task will be to implement the decisions of the 6th and previous sessions of the Forum.
