On September 23, 2021, a historic event took place in New York - the opening of the UN Food Systems Summit.
On this day, in the Park "Health" in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan, Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University, Scriabin Kyrgyz National Agrarian University, the Independent Accreditation Agency "Bilim-Standard" held the People's Youth Action "Watch and Do", dedicated to the opening of the UN Summit.
Before the opening of the action, the participants were shown the photo gallery "Let's create a new world - a world without hunger".
The opening of the action was attended by Professor M.V. Fedorov, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, scientific consultant of the National Technological Chamber of the Russian Academy of Sciences, author of the Concept "Global Food Forum -2021"; M.K. Chynybaev, Co-Chair of the Organizing Committee of the International Forum "Our Goal is to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals" (to be held on November 9-11, 2021), Rector of the Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University; T.Zh. Chortonbaev, Vice-Rector for Research, Kyrgyz National Agrarian University; on behalf of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan - S.Ya. Polyakov, Vice-President of the Public Association "Russian Cultural Center "Harmony"; L.T. Tashmatova, Chairman of the Public Association of Bulgarians "Vzrazhdane".
The speakers emphasized the particular importance of the summit for addressing the issues of eliminating hunger on the planet, for the participation of young people in solving the problems of ensuring food security and a full life for people.
The students were inspired by the idea, expressed by the participants of the action, about the need to develop the National Project "Kyrgyzstan - the country of health and longevity", taking into account the natural resources of unique Lake Issyk-Kul, mild climate, production of organic products and other factors.
After the speeches, a quiz competition "UN - 17 Sustainable Development Goals (2021-2030) – Students’ View" was held. The winners were presented with gifts. All the participants of the action performed a song in their honor. The action was completed by concert performances of student groups.
