A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the SCO Center in Tajikistan

On May 11 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) People's Diplomacy Forum, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations and the SCO Friendship and Cooperation Center in Tajikistan signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The agreement was signed by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov and the Director of the SCO Friendship and Cooperation Center in Tajikistan Abdukhalil Gafurzoda.

The parties agreed on cooperation aimed at deepening partnerships between the peoples of different countries; increasing the role of public diplomacy in ensuring trust and mutual understanding between states; development of international relations, which are aimed at supporting public, state, peacekeeping initiatives; joint implementation of socially significant programs, projects and cultural and educational events that promote peace, equality, good neighborliness; promotion of multilateral relations in all spheres of public life in the interests of strengthening peace and security throughout the world.

The SCO Friendship and Cooperation Center in Tajikistan is a non-governmental, non-profit public organization operating within the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan with the aim of studying the processes of integration and strengthening the organization.
