The Leaders of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly visited the Cairo International Book Fair

The Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Andrey Belyaninov and the Co-Chair of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Alexandra Ochirova visited the Cairo International Book Fair within the Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in Egypt. The Book Fair also presents the stand of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.

The International Book Fair, one of the main annual cultural events in Egypt, opened on January 27, 2023 in Cairo for the 53rd time.

1067 publishers from 51 countries present their products this year. The fair takes place in the international exhibition center on an area of 80 thousand square meters. There are 879 pavilions for publishing houses were located in five large exhibition halls.

This year the fair is held under the slogan "Identity of Egypt - culture and issues of the future". For 13 days - until the closing date on February 7 - seminars and round tables are held as part of the exhibition, as well as a special digital book project is being launched, which begins with the Encyclopedia of Ancient Egypt. This 16-volume work in Arabic by the Egyptologist Selim Hasan (1886-1961) is considered the most comprehensive historical reference of ancient Egyptian civilization.
