On June 17 will be held the International Public Forum for the Preservation of the Memory of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War “Be Worthy of Memories of the Fallen”

On June 17, from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. (Moscow time) the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio and the Association of the Russian Society Researchers (ARSR-XXI) will hold an International Public Forum on Preserving the Memory of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War “Be Worthy of Memories of the Fallen”.

Historians, scientists, public and political figures of the victorious countries are invited to participate in the online conference on the causes and lessons of the Second World War, the importance of drawing attention of the widespread society to the preservation of historical memory, and countering attempts to rehabilitate Nazism.

The International Public Forum continues its activities in conditions of forced restrictions and draws attention to the issues of preserving the historical memory of peoples, supports the movement against the erosion of value and semantic aspects of history, falsification of the results of the Second World War.

First held as part of the XV Sevastopol International Film Festival “VICTORIOUS TOGETHER” in May 2019, the Forum was continued during the Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in Baku in October 2019. In February 2020 it was held in Yalta, in the format of the International Scientific Conference “Yalta-1945: Lessons of History”. The initiative, which was born in Sevastopol, united the forum participants in a continuous dialogue and became a real platform and an effective tool for cooperation between representatives of the international community.

The forum will be broadcast live on the official Facebook account of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.
