On 22 June 2023, the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and the Scientific Association of Students "Dorzhiev Society of Ethno-Geopolitics" of the Russian State Humanitarian University will hold an International Research Round Table "Iranian-speaking Peoples of Eurasia: Spiritual Culture and Anthropology".

The purpose is to support research in the field of anthropology and ethnology, the search for ways and positive examples of coexistence, mutual adaptation and spiritual harmony of Eurasian peoples.

Currently, Iranian-speaking peoples live in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Turkey, Uzbekistan, South Ossetia and Russia (North Ossetia-Alania). This is a significant part of the Eurasian family with a millennial culture and a long history of neighborhood and cooperation.

The round table will highlight the importance of public diplomacy as an instrument of commonwealth of peoples, the importance of transboundary peoples in the system of international relations and the role of native languages in modern integration processes. One of the main conclusions of the round table will be the confirmation of the reality of the Eurasian historical and cultural community as a supra-ethnic formation of peoples who have inhabited and are inhabiting Eurasia and who have maintained close multilateral links since ancient times.

The round table will be held in three stages: presentation by international experts; presentation of research papers by students - members of the Dorzhiev Society of Ethno-Geopolitics; free discussion.

Participants are welcome to visit the office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and its VKontakte page.

The broadcast will begin at 14:00 (Moscow time) on 22 June.
