On 21 March, as part of the program of the Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in India, an international discussion platform The Role of Public Diplomacy in Shaping New Models of Eurasian Partnership was organized in partnership with the School of International Studies of Jawaharlal Nehru University in India.
Representatives of non-governmental organizations from Eurasian countries - civil society institutions, academic and educational institutions, experts from India, China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Russia and other countries - took part in the international platform. Speakers and participants discussed new models of integration and development of public diplomacy, the activities of non-governmental organizations in the development of integration processes, and the experience of interaction between countries and peoples in Eurasia.
The event was another step on the road to international discussion of Eurasian integration models, which is being held in the countries of Eurasia at the initiative of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly. The participants in the discussions made proposals aimed at strengthening economic and humanitarian ties between the Eurasian countries and developing partnerships between integration associations, met prominent public figures and discussed the current agenda for the development of international activities of the Eurasian non-governmental sector.
