Initiatives Uniting the Multipolar World were Presented at a Forum in Yugra

Deputy Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Natalia Zabolotskikh discussed with the participants of the international patriotic forum "Katyusha" the development of international patriotic projects, acting as a moderator of the Forum and a meeting of the international discussion club. The events took place in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug on November 16-17 as part of the VIII forum “Civil Initiatives of the Regions of the 60th Parallel”.

Representatives of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the Union of Women of Russia, Rospatriototsentr, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Eurasian Association of Women - Regional Leaders, the Talaya Foundation and women leaders of patriotic associations, as well as foreign representatives from Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Moldova, Serbia gathered at the site of the Ugra-Classic Concert Hall

The forum participants spoke about the projects they are implementing. Although all the initiatives were different, they were united by the fact that they formed bridges of friendship between countries. Each of the municipalities, regions and countries represented at the forum has its own unique experience. By talking about it, the participants give impetus to the development of civil society in different countries.

On November 16, Deputy Governor of Ugra Elena Shumakova greeted the forum participants. She noted that the Katyusha forum was included in the event plan of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum.

“Our meeting is of an applied nature. Based on its results, we will form a pool of projects that, on your instructions, the Governor of Yugra Natalya Komarova will present at the 41st meeting of the Council of Heads of Subjects of the Russian Federation under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for inclusion in the action plan declared in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2025 as the Year of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. I am sure that we will come up with systemic solutions that will be developed. Taking this opportunity, I appeal to our partners from Serbia, China, Moldova, and Belarus with an offer to join our initiatives,” said Elena Shumakova.

According to the chairman of the Defenders of the Fatherland Fund, Anna Tsivileva, who addressed the forum participants via video link, today the preservation of historical memory, the strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, and the education of young people in the spirit of patriotism and love for the Motherland is of particular importance.

“This forum is a unique platform for cooperation and exchange of best practices, including global ones. Its participants are united by a sincere concern for moral ideals and values, an active civic position, and a desire to make their personal contribution to the development of the country and the world,” - Anna Tsivileva expressed her opinion.

During the forum, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Issues of Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood Tatyana Butskaya, member of the Federation Council Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on International Affairs Elena Afanasyeva, Third Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in Yekaterinburg Natalya Pavlova, General Director of Industrial and Trade company "Manya LTD" Ms. Maya Man (China), director of the historical and cultural Association "Kantemir" Vladislav Dumanov (Moldova), Chairman of the Grodno regional organization "Belarusian Union of Women" Irina Stepanenko (Belarus), coordinator of the public movement "Victory Volunteers" in the Republic of Serbia Olga Litvina and others.

In 2023, the organizers focused on discussing civil initiatives that unite the multipolar world. This was discussed during the international discussion club, the meeting of which took place on November 17.

“Today the world is transforming, the unipolar system is being replaced by a multipolar one. Therefore, it is very important to support the initiatives of representatives of public organizations and people’s diplomats from various countries, which will allow them to unite and direct all their strength and energy to solving issues in the interests of the development of all of Eurasia. It is important to be clear about what we want our future to look like, discuss it and move together in the chosen direction,” - said moderator, Deputy Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Natalia Zabolotskikh.
