On October 21-22, 2021, the First International Student Travel Congress "Tourism of the Future - the Future of Tourism" will take place online. The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly supports the Congress.
The Congress will become a unique online platform for professional dialogue between students and leading experts in tourism in Russia and the world. The congress will discuss the future of tourism and the tourism of the future; what will the new generation of tourists be like and how student tourism develops. Let's talk about the prospects of space tourism; about the transformation of state policy in the field of tourism; the implementation of the strategy for sustainable development of tourism and hospitality and how to look ahead to the future; what are the opportunities for professional development in tourism; how to involve young people in the profession or how a student can start working and earn money in tourism; what is the digital transformation of the travel industry and the way hospitality management technologies develop and much more.
It is expected that more than 10,000 students from more than 100 universities and secondary specialized educational institutions of Russia and the CIS will take part in the Congress. Universities and students from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Grenada and Greece have already confirmed their participation.
The goal of the global event is to popularize and enhance the prestige of the tourism professions. The Congress is timed to coincide with the World Tourism Day and is aimed at educating a new generation of tourists who know the national and world culture and history, take care of the natural heritage and lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
In addition, during the Congress, the winners of the student proposals competition of the National Project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry" will be awarded, as well as a meeting with the finalists of the All-Russian competition "Masters of Hospitality" and a meeting with members of the expedition of the Russian Geographical Society "Russia2021".
The speakers of the congress will be the leaders of the world and Russian tourism industry, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, Rosturizm, Rosmolodezh, the Russian Geographical Society, professional associations, leading higher and secondary specialized institutions of Russia, as well as students, undergraduates and graduate students.
