About the project

The number of migrants in Russia reaches 11 million annually. Knowledge of the language is one of the main factors of integration. According to the Federal Migration Service, more than half of the immigrants do not know the Russian language, among the migrants - immigrants from Central Asia who do not speak Russian - 25%.

The project “GREAT POWERFUL RUSSIAN LANGUAGE” aims to help migrant families improve their level of Russian language proficiency through regular classes, including online (for different levels of language proficiency), organizing events, various competitions to motivate them to study culture and quick sociocultural adaptation.

Preschool children, school-age children, as well as their parents will take part in the project. Regular socio-cultural classes and classes on modern etiquette will be organized for schoolchildren and their parents. The classes will include visits to Moscow parks, museums and theatres.

Russian language courses for migrants’ school children (a course for beginners, a course for those who continue to study Russian as a foreign language) will help increase the level of Russian language proficiency., online classes “Let's Learn Poems” aimed at early development of speech skills in Russian will be organized for kids of preschool age.
