Grand Opening of the First Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Countries of the Middle East and North Africa took place in Amman

On September 19, 2022, as part of the official visit of the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, a solemn ceremony was held to open the first representative office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa. The representation will become a platform for the development of public diplomacy in the context of creating a new multipolar world, ensuring sustainable development and forming a space of trust and friendship.

The Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Andrei Belyaninov addressed the participants of the ceremony with a welcoming speech. He noted that the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly would have new opportunities to strengthen friendly and partnership ties in the Middle East and North Africa region, and invited all interested parties to cooperation.

Andrey Belyaninov expressed his deep gratitude to the Alumni Club of Soviet and Russian Universities for their assistance in organizing and holding such an important event and presented official documents to the President of the Association of Alumni of Soviet and Russian Universities of Jordan "Avicenna", Senior Specialist of the UN Development Program Salam Tual on his appointment as Head of the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the city of Amman (Jordan).

Salam Tual thanked the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly for the trust placed in him and promised to make every effort to further strengthen international relations.

The opening ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Friendship Society Yusif Hamdan; Co-Chair of the General Council of the Assembly, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Alexandra Ochirova; Chairman of the Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities Dima Khamsho; Russian public figure and economist Mikhail Khazin and other high-ranking officials of state, international and public organizations.

The opening of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly will be an important step in promoting humanistic values and will serve as a new impetus for strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between peoples.
