Games in National and Non-Olympic Sports "Towards Eurasiadа" were presented at the Forum "Russia - Africa"

The presentation of the games took place on July 28 in the pavilion of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation "Sport is the Norm of Life" and aroused great interest from the Forum participants.

Elmira Shcherbakova, Deputy Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, delivered a welcoming speech. She spoke about the new format of competitions, sports and countries participating in the event. During the discussion, Elmira Shcherbakova proposed to hold demonstration matches at the upcoming games on one of the oldest board games - dominoes.

The head of the Africa Department of the Assembly, Serge Odunlami, noted the important unifying role of sports and expressed confidence that the countries of the African continent would become participants in the Great “Eurasiada” competitions. He also proposed to include the game "Awale" (African chess) in the program of demonstration matches of the event.

Recall that the I International Sports Games of national and non-Olympic sports "Towards the Eurasiada" will take place on August 24-27 in Ufa with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasia Peoples' Assembly" and the Committee of National and Non-Olympic Sports of Russia.
