On February 14, 2020, at the Livadia Palace (Republic of Crimea, Russia), the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly holds an International Public Forum "VICTORIOUS TOGETHER - for Peace and Creation" to preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War and II World War. The Forum will be held as part of the International Conference "Yalta 1945: Lessons of History".
The purpose of the Forum is to remind about the unique role of the Yalta Conference of 1945, to draw attention to the issues of preserving historical memory, to intensify the search for new ways of forming constructive and creative images of the Great Victory, which would contribute to mutual understanding and peaceful relations between countries and peoples.
The forum is scheduled to discuss the Livadia Declaration on Peace and Security for the first time. In 2020, the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly plans to hold about 12 such events. All of them will be held in different countries, and each will discuss the Declaration.
The Declaration was drafted by members of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, which brings together representatives of more than 40 countries of the Eurasian continent. The main goal of the organization is to create a social integration model to promote peace and harmony through the development of multilateral cooperation and public (people's) diplomacy.
Participants from 15 countries are to come to Yalta: Austria, Belarus, Great Britain, Vietnam, Israel, India, China, Moldova, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, USA, Tajikistan, Turkey, France.
