From 26 March to 4 April 2023 a number of business and cultural events took place in Bangkok (Kingdom of Thailand) in the framework of cooperation between Moscow and Bangkok.
Organizers: Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow and the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
The main objective of the events was to develop economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between countries and peoples. Today much attention is being paid to the formation of a public integration model of a Greater Eurasian Partnership based on cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
In Bangkok the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly was represented by a General Council member, Deputy Head of the General Secretariat, Chairperson of the Intercultural Cooperation Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Elmira Shcherbakova. She participated in several events including: an exhibition of Moscow's achievements in the field of sustainable development as part of the 10th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development of UNESCAP; a meeting with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thailand; a visit to Bangkok University; opening of the photo exhibition about Moscow by photographer Evgeny Samarin; and a round table on support of compatriots residing in the Kingdom of Thailand.
In her speeches Elmira Shcherbakova noted the extreme importance of implementing projects of cultural and humanitarian cooperation in various fields: medicine, science, education and art. She stressed that the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly is actively working to develop strategies of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, strengthen and develop mutual contacts, create a common atmosphere of trust on the continent.
The program of events in Thailand ended with a business conference on the development of cooperation between Moscow and Bangkok and a Gala concert by Moscow masters of arts and a performance by the Moscow Academic Dance Theatre "Gzhel".
