The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly prepares to Participate in the International Municipal Forum of the BRICS+ Countries

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the BRICS Plus Business Communications Support Foundation signed a Cooperation Agreement on the sidelines of the conference “Development of regional cooperation within the BRICS+ countries.”

The subject of the Agreement is to establish cooperation between organizations in order to provide support and facilitate the organization of the annual business Forum “International Municipal Forum of the BRICS+ Countries”, which is held under the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rossotrudnichestvo and the Government of St. Petersburg.

Objectives of the Forum: to promote the integration of positive world experience, the implementation of government tasks at the local level, the development of social and economic well-being of municipal territories, the introduction of information, digital and innovative technologies into the everyday activities of large cities in developing countries.

On behalf of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" the document was signed by the First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat Svetlana Konstantinovna Smirnova. On behalf of the BRICS Plus Business Communications Support Fund – by Chairman of the Organizing Committee Mikhail Sergeevich Cherepanov.

The theme of the V BRICS+ International Municipal Forum is “At the Nexus of Past and Future: Global Transformation.” The anniversary event will take place on November 9-10 in St. Petersburg. The main organizers claim the participation of more than 7,000 delegates, including at least 1,500 foreign guests.

The Forum's business program will include 120 events, including expert sessions, plenary sessions, business conferences and panel discussions, master classes, presentations of investment projects and round table meetings.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is preparing to hold three platforms dedicated to economic and youth cooperation and the development of municipal territories in the countries of Eurasia.
