The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly held a Round Table with the Leadership of the Union of Arab Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities

MOSCOW. On July 21 this year the headquarters of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly hosted a round table with representatives of the Union of Arab Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities.

The Deputy Secretary General, Professor Yulia Petrova, Head of the Department of Sustainable Development Dr. Yaser Allaham, Head of the Department for the Development of International Education and Partnership Alana Kochieva, Chief Specialist of the Department of Sustainable Development Stanislav Olenin spoke on behalf of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

The meeting discussed the prospects for cooperation between the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the Union of Arab Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities.

In her speech, Yulia Petrova focused on the formation of a community of interested partners in order to promote projects in the scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian fields; on expanding the presence of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly by opening representative offices.

“Our task is to form a pool of partners and like-minded people in the countries of the Arab world who share the principles of equal and multi-vector cooperation through the Association of Arab Universities and the Union of Arab Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities. The Assembly is an authoritative international organization that unites representatives of more than 60 countries of the continent, implements programs and projects with the support of the UN and under the auspices of UNESCO and other international organizations,” said Yulia Petrova.

Chairman of the Union of Arab Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities Tony Maluf highlighted the activities of the Union of Arab Graduates and noted that in modern conditions the activities of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly play an important role in strengthening cooperation between peoples and countries through the prism of public diplomacy.

“The opening of the representative office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Lebanese Republic will give impetus to the development of our joint projects, Lebanon is ready for cooperation and we have a wide range of networking work ahead of us.” Tony Malouf added.
