The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Expands Business Cooperation with African States

MOSCOW. October 27, 2023. The International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" and a commercial company from the state of West Africa - the Republic of Ghana LLC "DESVIC DEVELOPMENT GHANA" signed an Agreement on Cooperation.

The day before, the Assembly Secretary General Andrei Belianinov held a meeting with business representatives from West African countries - Ghana and Burkina Faso. Constructive negotiations led to the first steps in cooperation.

“For us, this year is practically the year of Africa. We communicate with many colleagues,” - noted Andrei Belianinov. “The most important thing is to treat each other as equal partners. There are no juniors or seniors here. Africa has loudly declared itself.”

“We really hope that we will find a reliable partner in the organization,” - noted the General Director of the African company, Victor Nnamidi Stephen A.

In particular, Guests from Ghana, expressed their interest in the possibility of purchasing oils and petroleum products, construction materials, and agricultural products, including fertilizers, in Russia. In turn, outlining specific steps for interaction, Andrei Belianinov noted that, today, making payments between countries is one of the most serious issues in international economic relations and proposed organizing the next joint meeting with bankers to work out all the necessary conditions for cooperation.

Andrey Belianinov added: “The status of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly allows us to contact the top officials of states and we have the full range of competencies in order to cooperate fruitfully.”

The purpose of the Agreement, signed today at the site of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, is to expand and strengthen international cooperation, as well as to exchange experience and information in the following areas: tourism, commercial and industrial environment, export, import, finance, financial instruments, investment, innovation, government and public mechanisms to support entrepreneurs, measures to stimulate investment activity in Eurasian countries.

Under the Agreement, the parties intend to organize joint bilateral and multilateral business events, develop and implement educational and outreach programs, and promote the improvement of long-term and comprehensive trade, economic, scientific and technical ties between organizations and companies from different countries.

the Russian Eurasian Investment Company Specific will carry out work on doing business with a company from the Republic of Ghana, DESVIC DEVELOPMENT GHANA LLC. According to its Head - Co-Chairman of the Council on International Economic Activities of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Alexander Ivanov, following the example of agreements with another African state - the Republic of Benin, in the future it would be possible to build in Ghana a logistics center for Russian manufacturers of rolled metal goods, agricultural products, fertilizers, building materials and other products. This opens up the most ambitious prospects for further cooperation between Russia and Ghana.
