The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the General Confederation of Trade Unions signed a Cooperation Agreement

On June 3, on the sidelines of the International People's Diplomacy Forum, dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" and the General Confederation of Trade Unions - an international trade union association signed a cooperation agreement.

The agreement was signed by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov and the General Secretary of the General Confederation of Trade Unions Vladimir Shcherbakov.

The parties intend to cooperate, in particular, in the following areas: assistance to integration processes in the socio-economic, labor and humanitarian spheres; monitoring the practice of developing proposals for improving the socio-economic situation of workers, creating favorable conditions for education, spiritual development, and unlocking the professional potential of each person; study and generalization of international experience of cooperation in the field of education, culture and sports; studying the practice of managing labor migration flows in the Eurasian space, protecting the social and labor rights of migrants; promotion of scientific, educational, cultural and sports exchange, encouragement and support of international humanitarian programs, human contacts.

About the General Confederation of Trade Unions

The General Confederation of Trade Unions is a regional international trade union association formed on a voluntary basis in order to consolidate actions to protect the social and labor rights and interests of citizens, to promote the protection of the rights and guarantees of the activities of trade unions, and to strengthen international trade union solidarity.
