The process of creating the Association started in Volgograd on the initiative of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the Russian Historical Society and Volgograd State University.

The international project for the creation of the Association of Descendants of the Participants of the Battle of Stalingrad is based on its worldwide historical significance: The Battle of Stalingrad is the beginning of a radical turning point in the Great Patriotic War and in the development of the Second World War as a whole.

The Descendants of the victors of fascism and Nazism participants in the Battle of Stalingrad, live today all over the world. Their association preserves the historical and spiritual heritage of the peoples and love for the Motherland.

The work of the future Association will focus on interaction with young people in various forms of international cultural, educational and scientific events related to the history of the Battle of Stalingrad.

The results of scientific and archival research of the Association will be available on the Network of History Media Platform (historynetwork.ru). It combines all the disparate information presented on existing archival portals relating to the Great Patriotic and World War II. Of particular importance for the Association and its members is the unique feature of the Media Platform - filling it with only confirmed documentary information about each person, biographical data before and after the war basing on various sources.

The Memorandum on cooperation and interaction on the creation of the International Association of the descendants of the participants in the Battle of Stalingrad is open for the accession of state, public, educational institutions and structures.

Individual applications for participation in the project will be accepted through the Network of History Media Platform, which opens a special section dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad.
