On December 9, the Secretariat of the Silk Road NGO Cooperation Network (SIRONET) held an online webinar “Strengthening human interaction, cooperation, promoting solidarity and development”.

Deputy Secretary General Sergei Sanakoev spoke at the webinar on behalf of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly. He said that the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly was created with the aim of building an integration model of a Great Eurasian partnership. All its activities are aimed at expanding and strengthening ties between peoples, as well as developing international cooperation between the countries of Eurasia. Since 2015, a comprehensive systematic work has been carried out between Russia and China to implement the most important foreign economic initiatives - the construction of the EAEU and the BRI (The Belt and Road Initiative). The role of NGOs in promoting the principles of multilateralism is becoming increasingly important.

In February 2022, Beijing will host the Winter Olympic Games; this is an ideal platform for communications of all countries. Representatives of non-governmental organizations in China, as well as international organizations closely cooperating with China in the area of cultural exchange, were invited to the discussion at the webinar.

Academic lecturers from leading universities in China and representatives of international organizations from Sri Lanka, Serbia and Lebanon recollected their many years of cooperation experience. Participants made a call for further joint work for the successful holding of the Winter Olympic Games in order to promote self-awareness and spirit of future generations.

The organizers thanked all the participants who unanimously expressed support and willingness to cooperate.
