The Delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly paid a Working Visit to South Ossetia

The delegation of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" headed by Secretary General Andrey Belyaninov paid a working visit to South Ossetia.

On November 23, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev received a delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly at his residence in Tskhinvali. Alan Gagloev noted that the delegation arrived in South Ossetia with a noble mission - to unite peoples, to protect peace and establish friendly relations.

The meeting was also attended by Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of South Ossetia Murat Tskhovrebov and others.

“We are happy to welcome you to South Ossetia and look forward to close cooperation. It is symbolic that the visit of the delegation fell on a significant date celebrated in the republic - the Day of Courage and National Unity,” - the President said.

The delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, commemorating the Day of Courage and National Unity in South Ossetia, took part in the flower-laying ceremony at the chapel of secondary school No. 5 in Tskhinvali.

Andrey Belyaninov, for his part, thanked the head of state for the warm welcome.

“The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly unites society outside of politics. We are committed to serious work; our mission is humanitarian. <...> There are many residents of Ossetian nationality in the organization. <…> Ossetians are people with an active civic position,” - he said.

During the visit, an agreement on cooperation was concluded between the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia and the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly".

The document was signed by Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev and Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov. The parties agreed to expand and strengthen international humanitarian and business cooperation. The agreement implies, among other things, the opening of the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in South Ossetia.

During the stay of the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in South Ossetia, Andrei Belyaninov was awarded a diploma of an Honorary Citizen of the city of Tskhinvali.
