The Delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly arrived in Amman on an Official Visit

September 19 - 23, 2022, the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is on a visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The delegation includes Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaninov, First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Svetlana Smirnova, Co-Chair of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Alexandra Ochirova, Deputy Secretary General Yulia Petrova, Head of the International Affairs Department of the Belgorod State Technical University, expert of the Greater Eurasia-Africa Committee of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Dr. Allaham Yasser, Russian public figure and economist, head of the Economic Research Foundation Mikhail Khazin, as well as representatives of Russian universities: Rector of the Yaroslavl State Agricultural Academy Svetlana Gusar, Vice-Rector of Volgograd State University Dmitry Ilyin, Director of the Institute of International Education of the Volgograd State University Natalya Glazkova, Vice-Rector of the Samara State Technical University University Evgeny Frank.

The program of the visit includes the opening ceremony of the first Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly abroad in Amman, the solemn celebration of the International Day of Peace, official meetings with representatives of state, international and public organizations, the signing of bilateral partnership agreements.

During the stay in Amman, members of the delegation will also meet with the leadership of the State University of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Jadara University to discuss the international educational agenda.

On September 19, 2022, a delegation headed by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Andrei Belyaninov visited the Industrial Chamber of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The meeting was attended by senior members of the Chamber of Industry, Mr. Ahed S. Al-Rajabi, Dr. Nael F. Al-Husami, as well as the high representative of the Municipality of Greater Amman, Mr. Saad Abd Al-Wadud Yassin.

The Secretary General thanked them for the warm welcome and noted that in the context of the need for the comprehensive development of the Eurasian continent and the improvement of existing ties and contacts between partners from different countries, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is interested in developing mutually beneficial cooperation with representatives of Jordanian government institutions, in particular, with the Jordanian Chamber of Industry.

During the meeting, it was noted that Jordan is expanding the export of goods and services to the world market due to the large number of highly educated population and skilled labor, however, there are certain difficulties in logistics, in which the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly could become a reliable partner.

The Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly made several proposals. In particular, it is proposed to create a number of companies that can become solid platforms in solving financial and logistical problems, such as the Eurasian Reinsurance Company, the Eurasian Leasing Company, the Eurasian Union of Shipowners, and the Eurasian Direct Investment Foundation.

It should be noted that all these initiatives can be implemented on the basis of bilateral cooperation with the full participation of the Jordanian side. The Chamber of Industry of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan expressed its absolute readiness to cooperate in the proposed areas.
