On June 20, 2023, the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" and the Tajik Society for Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries signed a cooperation agreement within the International Round Table "The role of public diplomacy in the development of Russian-Tajik relations" held in Dushanbe (Tajikistan).
The agreement was signed by the First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Svetlana Smirnova and Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Tajik Society for Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Musharrafa Sharifzoda.
The parties agreed to deepen partnerships in the scientific, educational, cultural and educational fields of activity, develop international relations aimed at supporting public and state peacekeeping initiatives, and jointly implement socially significant programs and projects.
The Tajik Society for Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries acts in the interests of developing and strengthening international cultural ties, mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation with the peoples of foreign countries. The society supports the national-cultural associations of the peoples of Tajikistan for the revival and development of their cultures. Being a mechanism for the implementation of national policy and interethnic dialogue, the society closely cooperates with embassies and international organizations accredited in Tajikistan, expands ties and cooperation with related organizations from far and near abroad, with national cultural centers of Tajiks and with friendship societies of Tajiks established in other countries.
The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly has a new reliable partner, joint initiatives with which will be implemented in the very near future.
