On November 22, the Traditional Christmas Market took place in Geneva.
The organizer of the Russian part of the fair is the Russian Mission to the UN and other organizations.
The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the Peace and Harmony Foundation have been co-organizers for two years now.
Elmira Shcherbakova, Deputy Head of the General Secretariat, Chairman of the Council for International Cultural Cooperation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, President of the Peace and Harmony Social Initiatives Foundation, noted, “the fair is always a festive and pleasant mood, an opportunity to see, touch the country’s culture and still take home something interesting.
More than 50 countries became participants in the traditional bazaar in Geneva in 2022. Also, they represented the cultural program and provided various items for the Christmas Charity Lottery.
UN Geneva Director General Tatyana Valovaya said: “It is very nice to see Russia in a bright variety of regions.”
In particular, a unique piece of jewelry from the Kierge jewelry house, made from mammoth tusk, was presented at the Russian stand. Sakha-Yakutia was presented by Galina Pavlova, President of the Arctic Jewelers Association. She played khomus, the national musical instrument.
