Chairman of the Committee for International Affairs of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Leonid Eduardovich Slutskiy wished the organization success in development, and all the participants of the General Assembly new ideas, large-scale projects and ample opportunities for the implementation of the plans:
“Today we are witnessing rapid changes. Current situation requires qualitatively new, more effective mechanisms for organizing the world community; there is an active search for formats for uniting the peoples of the Eurasian continent, the development of a large Eurasian partnership, which is embodied in various international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations.
One of such striking examples is the interaction of peoples on the principles of public diplomacy in the format of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly established four years ago. The first experience of the organization's practical activities showed the demand for such a platform where good-neighborliness, support, friendly communication and trust are the norm in relations between the peoples of different countries, sometimes politically scattered.
The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly aims to create conditions for the harmonious living of all peoples in our big common home - Eurasia. The results of four years of work confirm that it is imperative to continue a peaceful dialogue and informed partnership at all levels of interaction between countries and peoples.
It is important to note that the Eurasian continent, like the entire planet, needs specific mechanisms for building a joint future based on the principles of compliance with international law, justice and mutual respect. People's diplomacy, joint integration projects, various forms of interethnic communication used in the Assembly makes it possible to lay the foundations for strong international contacts, for building bridges of friendship and security."
In 2021, the General Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly will take place on July 9. It is supported by the UN Information Center. Media partners: Big Asia, MTRK Mir, MKR-Media, TV BRICS. General media partner - TASS.
