On March 25-27, the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia) hosted the festival Bruderfest-Nawruz, organized by the regional branch "SUPPORT OF RUSSIA", the Club of like-minded Restaurateurs "bUffet", the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Representation of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Association of Cooks, Restaurateurs, Hoteliers of Bashkortostan. The festival is supported by the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
At the thematic sessions, experts of the tourism and gastronomic industry together with representatives of the republic authorities discussed the most pressing issues of the development of the industry.
During the official opening of the festival, a welcome message was delivered to the participants of the event on behalf of the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Head of the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov:
"The Bruderfest-Nawruz festival is becoming traditional in the republic. This year, eminent Russian and Republican restaurateurs and hoteliers joined the event. More and more manufacturers of Bashkortostan are presenting their products at the exhibition as part of the festival. This clearly shows that every year republican enterprises continue to expand production and improve the quality of manufactured goods. I am sure that the festival will be held at a high level and will contribute to an active exchange of views on the further development of the tourism industry, hotel and restaurant business."
Rinat Fatkullin, Acting Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Tourism, spoke about the prospects for the development of the tourism industry during the period of sanctions restrictions. He announced that Bashkortostan is strong in ethno-ecological tourism in the Southern Urals and its sanatorium and resort complex.
"It is important for us to focus the attention of all participants in the hospitality industry on strengths and develop in one direction. Today, unprecedented measures are being taken to support tourism at both the federal and national levels. Within the inter-budget transfers from Rostourism, the republic can receive more than 300 million rubles. Therefore, it is important that the business community of the hospitality industry actively participates in grant competitions," - he stressed.
The Minister of Trade and Services of the Republic of Bashkortostan Alexey Gusev in his speech made a proposal on the need to unite Bashkir restaurateurs and hoteliers to create a single bright project that will be able to promote Bashkortostan as a place of attraction and a benchmark for the development of domestic tourism with a developed system of the hospitality industry.
According to the representative of the Leader Group Company Sergey Belkin, in today's realities it is important to provide state support not only for major HoReCa players, but also for small projects that are an indicator of the quality of industry development and the economic condition of the region for tourists and guests. He also presented the project of the largest gastronomic festival in the Volga region “Food”, which unites more than 80 thousand guests and participants on its site, and made a proposal to hold this festival in Ufa, making it an instrument for the development of event tourism of the republic.
Natalia Chibrikina, Chairman of the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of the Republic of Bashkortostan, said that today it is important to develop a local product, and it is also advisable to increase the representation of products from local manufacturers, focus on the development of unique products – this will become the locomotive of development and support of farm production. She was supported by Deputy Head of the UNITED RUSSIA party faction in the State Assembly – Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Deputy Elena Rodina, who noted that local products will undoubtedly become recognizable gastronomic brands of the republic.
As part of the business program, an expanded meeting of the Public Council of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan was held. The meeting was moderated by Ruslan Kinzikeev, Chairman of the Committee for Business, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation with Italy. Elio and Andrea Bettoni, business representatives of the Italian Republic, spoke at the meeting. The honorary participant of the meeting was the general director of the TV channel "Big Asia" and co-founder of the TV channel "Zvezda" Alexander Lebedev.
"I think that our festival was held in a constructive way. We were able to discuss how to adapt the industry to the current situation, exchange experience, and enlist the support of the authorities of the republic," - Vitaly Baranovsky, the ideological inspirer of the festival, director of the bUffet Restaurant Club, summed up the results of the event.
The festival ended with the 15th award ceremony of the national award in the field of food and hotel business "Golden Buffet".
Also a traditional part of the event was the gastronomic festival of the cuisines of the world from famous chefs.
