On February 11 and February 28, at the initiative of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, meetings of the inter-religious discussion club "Bridge of Consensus" were held at the Leningrad Region Friendship House in St. Petersburg.
Leaders and representatives of religious organizations, well-known religious scholars, as well as public figures and representatives of the authorities took part in the meetings.
The discussed issues related to the harmonization of inter-religious, interfaith and inter-ethnic relations, as well as amendments to the Russian Constitution. There has been made a proposal to use the club's religious and scientific potential in the work of the Council on International Relations under the Governor of the Leningrad Region as a permanent expert-analytical body.
The inter-religious discussion Club "Bridge of Consensus" was established in March 2016 on the site of the Theological Institute in the Vsevolozhsky district of Leningrad region. Representatives of the clergy of traditional religions, religious organizations, religious scholars and public figures became the members of the club. Currently, the club is one of a kind and unique in its peacekeeping content. The activities of the "Bridge of Consensus" Club are coordinated by the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Leningrad region in the person of the Head of the Assembly’s Representative Office Yuri Palamarchuk, who is the initiator of this discussion platform.
