The book "Panfilovs: Our Pride, Our Glory!" tells mainly about the first Panfilov Division.

The monograph was preceded by a tremendous research work of the author - a member of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, a Soviet and Kazakh scientist, public figure, writer, journalist, historian, political scientist, academician of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio, a member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Laila Akhmetova.

The first 316th Infantry Division was composed of 11,347 people. Almost 93.1 percent of soldiers and commanders (10,565 people) who left Alma-Ata on August 5, 1941 to the front were found thanks to the work in archives in 2017-2019. -Many data are unique; they complement and correct the historical information of the Soviet and current periods. For two years (2018-2019) the author of the book posted 145 documents to social networks. Many of them received feedback from eyewitnesses, friends and family of heroes of those events.
