The speech of the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov at the opening of the International IT Forum with the participation of the SCO and BRICS countries in Khanty-Mansiysk (KhMAO-Yugra, Russia) caused a great resonance in the media.

Andrey Belyaninov is sure that Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra has a huge potential in the field of IT technologies. Thus, the Russian Autonomous Okrug has every opportunity to create a center for the production of computer chips. There are only three such centers in the world, and all of them are not located on the territory of the Russian Federation.

“We have learned words like localization, attraction. Here (in Khanty-Mansiysk. - Ed.) You can create a center for the production of chips. And it will not just be the digital capital of Russia, it will be a real production point,” - Andrey Belyaninov suggested.

Also, the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly noted the great prospects of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra in attracting IT specialists from Eurasian countries. Ugra has every opportunity to create comfortable working conditions for expats.

Andrey Belyaninov noted that the decision of the Russian Federation to train its IT specialists at a faster pace is absolutely correct, but it must be competent, because it takes time to train, and Russia does not have it. In addition, "speaking of the production of specialists in information technology, it is necessary to make no fewer request for the training of specialists in setting professional tasks."

In his speech the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly also touched upon the topic of information security.

“Now we are talking about dependence, independence, interdependence. We are very vulnerable. You know better than me how many cyberattacks we are now experiencing... <...> We really need to fight this. But systematically,” - said Andrey Belyaninov.

Recall that the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, began work on creating a Eurasian Digital Platform to support industry businesses that suffer losses from sanctions aimed at curbing the growth of the Russian economy, but have technological or ideological potential. The purpose of the platform is to create a registry of such enterprises and provide "digital bridges" between representatives of the business community in the Eurasian space to ensure the effectiveness of such enterprises by providing consulting, investments and other support tools. Before the forum in Khanty-Mansiysk, at the meeting with the Governor of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra Natalya Komarova, the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov proposed the Autonomous Okrug to become a pilot region in the platform being created.
