Andrey Belyaninov held a Working Meeting with Partners of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly from Azerbaijan

MOSCOW. Secretary General Andrey Belyaninov and First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat Svetlana Smirnova held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum Rizazade Irada Bagir kyzy at the headquarters of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Moscow. The meeting focused on the cooperation plan of organizations for 2023-2024.

The next event, which the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the National NGO Forum of Azerbaijan will hold jointly, is scheduled for September. Baku will host an international round table "The role of public diplomacy in the development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations" which will be hold within the International Project - the competition "Leader of Public Diplomacy".

The participants of the round table will include representatives of government agencies, non-governmental and intergovernmental organizations, representatives of youth and national-cultural public associations, the scientific and educational community of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, participants in the Leader of Public Diplomacy competition, experts in public diplomacy, media representatives.

Andrei Belyaninov suggested that his colleagues pay special attention to the joint development of mechanisms for involving young people into participation in the events held by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and the National NGO Forum of Azerbaijan, the development of public diplomacy and support for youth projects at the international level.

The Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly also took the initiative to hold the International Musical Youth Festival. Azerbaijan could be the festival’s venue.

“Holding a large-scale Eurasian music festival could have important cultural and diplomatic significance,” - Andrey Belyaninov noted.

It was decided to discuss these initiatives in detail in Baku in September during joint events.
