As part of working meetings with colleagues and partners from Arab countries in Egypt, the Secretary General of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" Andrei Belianinov negotiates today with the leadership of the Arab Lawyers Union.

The discussion of current problems of international cooperation resulted in the signing of a Cooperation Agreement with this organization. The document was signed by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belianinov and the Secretary General of the Arab Lawyers Union Al-Makawi Bin Issa.

“Our organization employs reputable people and professionals. The current situation in the world forces us to unite because we need your help. And today, given what is happening on your territory, you also need the support of the Arab world,” - Al-Makawi Bin Issa noted at the meeting.

The leader of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly proposed to highlight three key areas of cooperation between organizations: culture, education and sports. The strategic goal is to support young people, create conditions for interaction and joint activities, and increase government funding for youth policy.

“I hope that we will be in constant contact to discuss all topics and put into action all the points that are defined in our co-operation. We are very pleased with such a warm welcome and such a friendly atmosphere. And today we signed the first document with one of the most authoritative international organizations in the world,” - said Andrei Belianinov.

It should be noted that the Arab Lawyers Union is one of the authoritative organizations in the Arab World, founded in 1944. The Union was established in response to the growing need for a professional legal association that could represent the interests of Arab lawyers and their clients in the face of colonialism and foreign domination in the Arab World. Today it is the largest professional association, which includes about a million members. The organization works not only as a public one, but also as a political one. Headquartered in Cairo, it has branches and affiliated organizations in a number of Arab countries, including Algeria, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen.

The Secretary General of the Arab Lawyers Union is Professor Al-Makawi Bin Issa, originally from Morocco. He was educated at the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences at the state Mohammed V University in Rabat. For a long time, he headed the Bar Association of Oujda in Morocco and in 2020 was elected Secretary General of the Arab Lawyers Union at an extraordinary meeting of the permanent office held in Amman, Jordan.

At a meeting with the leadership of the Arab Lawyers Union, the parties agreed to create an organization in the format of a global association, the ideology and strategy of which will be fully determined by April this year.
