An Agreement on Cooperation was signed between the Government of Ugra and the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly

On June 15, in Khanty-Mansiysk (KhMAO--Yugra, Russia) at the XII International IT Forum with the participation of the BRICS and SCO countries, the Government of Yugra and the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly" signed an agreement on cooperation.

The Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Andrei Belyaninov and the Governor of Ugra Natalya Komarova signed the agreement.

The parties plan to develop the trade and economic potential of the Autonomous Okrug and the States of Eurasia, strengthen business and public relations, communication platforms, humanitarian, business, industrial, technological, scientific and technical, investment cooperation.

The day before, a working meeting of the Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova and the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaninov took place.

“We are ready to join efforts with the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly - another communication channel is of great importance for the development of integration ties, public diplomacy,” - noted Natalia Komarova. - We drew attention to the humanitarian projects of the Assembly. They are in demand for us. We also look forward to the Assembly's assistance in strengthening business cooperation, especially with the BRICS and SCO countries."

“I am sincerely glad to establish relations with the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. The agreement planned for signing will allow us to implement projects, including those related to the upbringing of the younger generation, the preservation of historical memory,”- said Andrei Belyaninov during the working meeting.

He also outlined the possibility of opening a Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Ugra and initiated the creation of a Eurasian Information Platform aimed at uniting representatives of different States, sharing best practices and information and connecting the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug to this resource.

“We have something to work on together. There are opportunities for the implementation and development of projects - our region has already gained relevant experience in various fields. And the Assembly can become a platform for accumulating and replicating this experience,” - Natalya Komarova summed up the results of the working meeting.
