Cosmonauts # Roscosmos Oleg Novitsky and Fyodor Yurchikhin to the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly May 28, 2017

On May 28, 2017, the participants of the constituent congress of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly #EURASIAASSEMBLY were greeted by the crew of the 51st expedition - cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky and Fedor Yurchikhin directly from the International Space Station:

- Dear friends! We are glad to welcome the participants of the Congress. An international crew is currently in space. And three out of five cosmonauts are representatives of the countries of Eurasia. Fedor Yurchikhin is Russian with Greek roots. Oleg Novitsky is a Belarusian. Thomas Pesce is French. We, Russian cosmonauts, are pleased that many significant events begin in our country and bring good to all the inhabitants of the Earth.

Yuri Gagarin opened the era of space exploration by earthlings. Following him, representatives of forty countries have already worked in orbit. And we can see from orbit how fragile our planet is and how important it is for all of us to protect it. We wish you interesting discussions and effective solutions.
