The General Eurasian Peoples' Assembly was held in Moscow. Post-release

Оn July 19, in Moscow, an extraordinary General Eurasian Peoples' Assembly was held, which was visited by 360 participants from 30 countries.

This is a great and historic event, when representatives from 30 countries of Eurasia and more than 70 subjects of the Russian Federation gathered in Moscow to achieve their only purpose of preserving peace. This was stated by the Secretary General of the International Union of Non-Governmental organizations the “Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly”, Andrei Belyaninov. He also welcomed the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors and employees of the Embassies of the Eurasian countries, representatives of federal and regional authorities, local self-government authorities of the Russian Federation, representatives of ethnic cultural associations of Russia mass media, creative and scientific community.

At the opening the General Assembly, the head of the international union thanked everyone for their trust, and also noted the special role of the supporters of the Assembly, who actively support its activities. “All those here present are our true friends! And I thank you for finding an opportunity to participate in the General Eurasian Peoples' Assembly,” said Secretary General Andrei Belyaninov.

For holding the General Assembly, the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Yurievich Belyaninov (Russia); the First Deputy Secretary-General - Head of the General Secretariat of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, Chairman of the Council of the Russian Peoples’ Assembly Svetlana Konstantinovna Smirnova (Russia); Co-Chairman of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, Vice-President of the Franco-Russian Dialogue Association Bernard LOHSE (France); Co-Chairman of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, National Secretary of the Indian National Congress, president of the Foundation for Political Decisions and Governance Dalbir Singh (India); Co-Chairman of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Russian Diplomats Igor Vasilievich Khalevinsky (Russia) were elected to the Presidium.

The consideration of the following issues was included into the agenda of the General Eurasian Peoples' Assembly: “On the results of the activities of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly for the period from June 2017 till July 2018 and on the program of activities of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly for 2019 and for the period until 2022”, “About the draft program of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly on work with youth”, “About Members of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly”, “About the Co-Chairmen of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly”, “About the Deputy Secretaries-General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly”, “About specialized Councils of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly”, “About joining of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly the cofounders of other organizations and legal entities”, “About signing Agreements”, “About awarding” and others.

Representatives of international organizations, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and public organizations of the countries of Eurasia took part in the work of the General Assembly. Among them  Stoppe Alexander Georgievich, Head of the analytical department of the Standing Committee of the Union State; Sazonov Alexey Andreevich, Director of the Department for Humanitarian Cooperation, General Political and Social Problems of the CIS Executive Committee; Tvarionas Vitaly Iono, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan; Mamytov Tokon Bolotbekovich, Chairman of the Assembly of the Peoples of Kyrgyzstan took the floor.

Suchkov Vitaliy Ivanovich, Head of the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the city of Moscow told about the experience of implementing interregional projects of the Moscow Government. Chairman of the Council Krichevskiy Andrei Borisovich, Secretary General of the Eurasian Confederation of Societies of Rights Holders, and Romanov Roman Gennadievich, President of the regional public organization for the protection of copyright and related rights “Intellectual property federation” reported about the activities of the Council on Digital Economy and Intellectual Property of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, as well as the Chairman of the Council Skory Roman Petrovich, President of the National Tourist Union reported about the activities of the Council for tourism development of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.

The Head of the Project “Victory Waltz” Fedorov Mikhail Vasilievich, Chairman of the High Council of the Association of Universities of Greater Eurasia, told about his project, The Head of the Project Tarasenko Elena Ivanovna, Deputy Chairman of the National Commission for Women, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, told about the project “Ural is the river of friendship”. Palamarchuk Yuri Anatolyevich, President of the Regional public organization “Council on the Interethnic Cooperation”, reported on the project “Caravan of Friendship. Road of Life”, and Fyodorova Tatyana Mikhailovna, Chairman of the Council of the Foundation for Support of the Family, Children and Youth “Traditions of the Fatherland”, General Director of the company Romeoss Group, told about project “Children. Flowers. Life”.

Chirkova Olga Nikolaevna, President of the Udmurt Regional Children's Non-Governmental Organization “Center for Social Producing Zhuraveynik”, Honored Journalist of Udmurtia, member of the Russian Union of Journalists, member of the International Federation of Journalists, presented the project “International Festival of Children and Youth Media “Podsolnukh” through a video message. Kharitonova Svetlana Aleksandrovna, Head of the project department of OOO Vernissage in Izmailovo, reported about the project “International festival Craft Fair in Izmailovo”. About the project “International Festival “The Spirit of Eurasia” it was told by the Head of the Project, Druon Galina Aleksandrovna, President of the European Association GRALTAN-Cultural Center of the Eurasian People.

Plasunova Marina Vladimirovna, member of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, told about several interesting projects from the Sverdlovsk Oblast. She turned the floor over to the Head of the project “Marble Mile” Pospelov Konstantin Sergeevich, the Head of the Polevskoy urban district, the Sverdlovsk Oblast, and to the Head of the project “International tournament of mowers” Shatokhin Alexander Nikolaevich, the Development Director of AO “Artinsky Zavod”.

The Head of the project “International Festival of Cossacks culture” Mikhailov Alexander Yurievich, Head of the Committee on Economic Affairs of the Council for Cossack Integration of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly invited all the guests of the General Assembly to the International Festival of Cossacks culture.

The project “Automobile rally “Call of the Ancestors 2019” was presented by Kim Ernest Nikolaevich, the Chairman of the Council OOO “Regional national-cultural autonomy of Koreans of the Moscow Oblast”.

Bukhonin Nikolai Arkadievich, member of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, first Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Russian Peoples’ Assembly, announced the concept of the project “Memory Marathon “We smithed the Victory together””.

Kaznacheeva Ekaterina Vyacheslavovna, Chairman of the Sports Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly told about the Project under heading, Eurasian sports games “EVRAZIADA” and the international team that prepares them.

The General Assembly considered the Program on work with youth and approved the creation of the Youth wing - “Youth People’s Assembly of Eurasia”.

The General Eurasian Peoples' Assembly has extended the powers of the acting Co-Chairmen of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly for a period of one year (2018-2019): Bernard Loze (France), Dalbir Singh (India), Khalevinsky Igor Vasilievich (Russia). Sargsyan Aram Gasparovic (Armenia), Chairman of the Council of the Armenian National Center “Dialogue of Civilizations”, was elected as Deputy Secretary-General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.

On July 19, at the General Assembly, it was announced about the merger of the Sports Council and of the National Sports Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly. The new Head of the Council for International Cultural Cooperation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly was announced, it was Shcherbakova Elmira Muratbekovna, President of the Fund for Social Initiatives “Peace and Harmony”, General producer of the project “Theatrical Russia”.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly joined the founders of the TV channel “Big Asia” (website Bigasia.ru). A new project, a TV program in which each of the member countries of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly will be able to tell about itself, and, of course, only in a positive way according to the concept of the channel, was presented by Lebedev Aleksandr Alekseevich, General Director of the TV channel “Big Asia”.

A number of cooperation agreements have been signed. Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Yurievich Belyaninov and President of the Association of Asian Historians Korolev Stanislav Lvovich signed the Agreement on the Establishment of the Association of Eurasian Historians. Cooperation Agreementsn between the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly” and the “Association of Moroccans around the world. Communication, development and social care” was signed by the Vice-President Samir Jame from the Moroccan side. The Cooperation agreement between the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry was signed by Platonov Vladimir Mikhailovich, President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, from the side of MCCI.

Co-Chairmen of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly – Dalbir Singh, Bernard Lohse – expressed their kindest wishes for the organization. They are satisfied with the work of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly and would like to work in it in the future.

In conclusion, the Secretary General Andrei Belyaninov noted that the extraordinary General Assembly was objective, thanked the participants of the meeting for their active work and added that the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is open for cooperation.
